Domaine Changarnier is located in Monthélie, Burgundy, in the valleys of Auxey-Duresses and Meursault. Fabrice Groussin has farmed 5.5 hectares of vineyards according to biodynamic and organic principle, with a certification by Ecocert since 2019.

Fabrice Groussin’s style is revealed in the color, aroma and palate, which appears frank and fresh without lacking fat, and stretches into a long mineral finish.

The top wines of the domaine are: Monthélie Le Clos, Monthélie Premier Cru Les Champs Fulliot, and Pommard Vaumuriens Haut. On CellarTracker the Monthélie Le Clos 2018 scored 92, the Monthélie Premier Cru Les Champs Fulliot 2013 scored 92, and the Pommard Vaumuriens Haut 2015 scored 91.

The Changarnier family lived for centuries in Monthélie. The estate was built in 1720.

Two brothers, Claude Changarier and Antoine Changarier took over the domaine in 2004. In 2012 they recruited Fabrice Groussin.

Fabrice Groussin, the winemaker of the Domaine Changarnier cultivates the vineyards according to biodynamic and organic principles. The domaine was certified organic in 2019 by Ecocert. The parcels are farmed with respect to the terroirs in order to express the characteristics of each wine in the best way possible. Fabrice Groussin also restored the vineyards and brought back life to the soil through biodynamic practices. The grapes are picked manually and put in crates.

The whites are fermented without sulphur until after the malolactic fermentation, have 12 months in the barrel and three more in the tank before bottling in December. In total, the wines age in barrels for 12 months. Fabrice Groussin uses 15 to 20 percent of new barrels. The wines are refined in vats before bottling, usually done in winter.
