In 1993 they invested in the acquisition of a mechanical press and a new winery. This improvements allowed to vinify the entire harvest at the domaine's cellar under the surveillance of Etienne Boileau, Christian Simon and William Nahan. In 1998 the domaine acquired an advanced bottling unit.
Domaine du Chardonnay was awarded gold medals at the Concours Générale Agricole three times: in 1993, 2002, and in 2003.
Approach
The philosophy of Domaine du Chardonnay is to follow the traditions with great respect for the vines and terroir. Thomas Labille adjusts the winemaking techniques depending on the vintage to reflect and express the best of each year.
