The Chablis Vaucoupin 2008 scored 94, the Chablis Premier Cru Vosgros 2017 scored 93+, and the Chablis Premier Cru Vaucoupin 2020 scored 92-94 by the Wine Advocate.
Robert Parker’s tasting note on the Chablis Vaucoupin 2008: “Sea breeze, musky peony perfume, pear, quince, yellow plum, nut oils, and fresh scallop in the nose of Picq’s 2008 Chablis Vaucoupin lead to a soothingly rich yet buoyant and refreshing palate exhibiting striking polish as well as unusual sweetness of pear, quince and plum fruit for a Chablis cru. It’s almost as though this had a bit of Vouvray in it”.
History
Since 1976 Didier Picq has been the winemaker at Domaine Gilbert Picq & Fils along with his father - Gilbert Picq. In 1980 Didier’s Picq brother - Pascal Picq, joined the family estate and took the responsibilities over the vineyards, whereas their sister Marilyn took the charge of the commercial side.
