History

1932

Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini is managed by spouse - Florence Heresztyn and Simon Mazzini.

The roots of the domaine go back to 1932 when Florence Heresztyn's grandfather founded the family domaine. In 2012, Florence Heresztyn took over the domaine and, along with her husband Simon Mazzini, decided to start their own venture. That's how Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini was founded.

Approach

Biodynamic, Certified organic since 2019

The vines of Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini have been cultivated by biodynamic principles since 2016 and certified organic since 2019.

In the vineyards, every action is carried out with respect to the soil and natural environment. Only environmentally friendly pest control is used.

In the winery, depending on the vintage and cuvée, the fermentation is conveyed with partially-destemmed or whole bunches. The wines are vinified without sulphur added until after the malolactic fermentation. After three months in the vats, the wines are aged 12 to 16 months in barrels from carefully selected coopers. The wine is bottled regarding the lunar calendar.
