Domaine Henri Rebourseau is located in Gevrey-Chambertin, Burgundy. The vineyards cover 13.5 hectares that are farmed according to the non-certified biodynamic and organic approaches. The current winemaker is Bénigne Surrel, who makes nice, bright of long finish wines.

Top wines of Domaine Henri Rebourseau are: Chambertin Grand Cru, Clos Vougeot Grand Cru, and Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru. The Chambertin Grand Cru 1999 scored 86-89, the Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 2013 scored 87, and the Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 1999 scored 85-88 by the Wine Advocate.

Robert Parker’s tasting notes on the Chambertin Grand Cru 1999 are: “The medium to dark ruby-colored 1999 Chambertin has blackberry, spice, violet, and black raspberry aromas. Medium to full-bodied, dense, and firm, this is a licorice, blackberry, and cassis-flavored wine. Its tannin is hard, yet it appears to have enough depth of fruit to ultimately merit a good to excellent rating. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2010.”.

Since 2019 the wines of Domaine Henri Rebourseau have been produced by Bénigne Surrel. In December 2018 the Bouygues family joined the Henri Rebourseau estate. As majority shareholders, Martin and Olivier Bouygues have joined forces with Jean de Surrel to perpetuate the heritage of the estate. Thanks to the Bouygues family, the domaine has kept its value through seven generations by preserving the unity of its wine-growing heritage and the traditions attached to it.

The roots of estate go back to Jacques Rebourseau who was making respectful wines in approximately the 1780s, and passed his passion to viti- and viniculture to his son - Claude Rebourseau.

Domaine Henri Rebourseau vineyards are farmed according to non-certified biodynamic and organic concepts. The domaine's team vigorously accompanies the plots so that each vine, one by one, reveals a faithful expression of the soil and the climate.
