Robert Parker’s tasting notes on the Nuits Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Poulettes 2012: “The 2012 Nuits Saint Georges Premier Cru Les Poulets comes from 0.25 hectares of vine that produces three or four barrels per year. The vines were planted in 1992 and the rest between 30 and 40-years in age. The nose is very aromatic and floral, with dried violet petals complementing the dark berry fruit – perhaps a little opaque in its youth but nicely defined. The palate is harmonious on the entry with fine, quite succulent tannins. This is very well-balanced with a real brightness and clarity toward the elegant finish. With plenty of flavor, this is one of the domaine’s best 2012s. Excellent – I love the energy here. Drink now-2022”.
