Robert Parker’s tasting notes on the Meursault Premier Cru Perrières 2017 are: “Pernot's finest wine is the 2017 Meursault Premier Cru Perrières, a beautiful cuvée in the making that wafts from the glass with aromas of crisp yellow orchard fruit, hazelnut cream and lemon oil. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny textured and incisive, with tangy acids and a deep, broad shouldered mid-palate that's impressively powerful but reserved, concluding with a long finish”.

Approach
Sustainable
Domaine Pernot-Belicard vineyards are farmed according to the sustainable principles without certificate. The winemaker, Philippe Pernot, does not use any herbicides.
The grapes are hand-harvested, sorted, and pressed without crushed before the vinification.
The wines are mature for about 11 months. The percentage of new wood in barrels depends on cuvée. In particular, 20 percent for the village wines and Beaune premiers crus, and about 35 for Puligny premiers crus. After maturation in barrels the wines are left for 2 to 6 months in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks with the fine lees.
