The roots of the estate date back to the French Revolution, when Charles-Amable de Laguiche vineyards’ possessions of 4 hectares were confiscated. In the early 19th century the holdings were returned to the Laguiches family. Soon the estate was divided between two family branches: the Laguiches and the Mandelots.

Approach

At Domaine Marquis de Laguiche the grapes are hand-harvested in small open crates, which helps to save the fruits from damage. If needed, the grapes are sorted twice: in the vineyard and the winery. Slow and careful pressing is applied. The juice is vinified in barrels.

The wines are matured in French oak barrels with 25 percent of new wood. The length of the ageing is from 15 to 18 months.
