Domaine Les Héritiers Saint-Genys is located in the heart of the village of Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy. The vineyards of the domaine are managed by Patrice du Jeu and Jean-Baptiste Alinc according to organic and sustainable approaches. The domaine hasn’t obtained any certifications yet.

The top wines of the domaine are Mercurey Premier Cru Clos Marcilly and Chassagnes-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos Saint-Jean. On CellarTracker, Mercurey Premier Cru Clos Marcilly 2015 scored 93, and Chassagnes-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos Saint-Jean 2015 scored 91.5.

Patrice du Jeu and Jean-Baptiste Alinc are the winemakers at Domaine Les Héritiers Saint-Genys.

Patrice du Jeu, a restaurateur from Paris, bought a small domaine in Chassagne-Montrachet in 2011. Jean-Baptiste Alinc, a highly-qualified oenologist, has supported him since 2013.

Domaine Les Héritiers Saint-Genys acquired the monopole Clos Marcilly since 2016.

The domaine is located near the church, based in old buildings with superb cellars. The winery has been renovated.

Domaine Les Héritiers Saint-Genys is farmed according to sustainable and organic principles, moving to complete organic approaches. However, the vineyards haven’t got any certifications yet.

Patrice du Jeu takes care of its parcels and pays attention to gentle, non-interventionist oenology by vinifying wines as naturally as possible. The vines are worked in a sustainable way, without any herbicides, limiting the contributions of phytosanitary products. Since 2017, animal traction has been reintroduced for ploughing.

All the wines are aged in the estate's cellars. 400-litre barrels are used with 20 percent of new wood.

The vineyards are located in Côte de Beaune, Côte Châlonnaise, and Beaujolais. In Mercurey, on the Clos Marcilly, a vast replanting program was launched in 2011.
