About
Domaine Claudie Jobard
Domaine Claudie Jobard is a 9.5 hectares large domaine located in Demigny, not far from Volnay, Burgundy. Claudie Jobard is the winemaker at the domaine and cultivates the vineyards according to organic principles.
Claudie Jobard's wines are of great colour, aroma and finesse, just like the vines they grow.
The top wines of the domaine are: Pommard Premier Cru Les Charmots, Rully Les Villerange, and Rully Montagne La Folie.
The Rully Les Villerange 2018 scored 90, the Rully Montagne La Folie 2018 scored 90, and the Pommard Premier Cru Les Charmots 2018 scored 89+ by the Wine Advocate.
Robert Parker's tasting notes on the Rully Les Villerange 2018: "Offering up demonstrative aromas of pear, buttered citrus fruit and fresh pastry, the 2018 Rully En Villerange is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with an invitingly fleshy attack, lively acids and fine depth at the core. It's a generous but well-balanced Rully that's already drinking well."
History
Claudie Jobard took over all the winemaking processes at Domaine Claudie Jobard in 2002.
This ancient estate has seen seven successive generations of winegrowers. Roger Jobard, Claudie Jobard's father, founded an estate in Rully in the 1970s. He was involved in vine growing for years.
Claudie Jobard graduated from the OIV (International Organization of Vine and Wine), having obtained a degree in oenology. She continued the family practice of vine growing in Demigny and started her vinifications in Rully. Claudie Jobard also works as an oenologist for Remoissenet in Beaune.
