Approach
Certified organic since 2009
The vineyards of Domaine de la Verpaille have been farmed according to certified-organic principles since 2006 and obtained organic certification in 2009.
The domaine focuses on Chardonnay wines.
The vineyards are ploughed and grassed according to the needs of the vineyards. The use of sulphur and copper is also limited.
The fruits are gently pressed, then fermented for 3 to 6 months using natural yeasts. Sugar is not added to the wine. The ageing is done on the fine lees until bottling. Finally, after 12 months of ageing the wines are bottled.
