Domaine Y Clerget is based in Pommard and it is considered to be one of the oldest domains in the region. The current winemaker of the domaine is Thibaud Clerget. He farms 6 hectares of vineyards without certification.

The top wines of the domaine are: Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru , Volnay Premier Cru Les Caillerets, Volnay Premier Cru Clos du Verseuil. Vougeot Grand Cru Clos de Vougeot 2018 scored 94+, Volnay Premier Cru Les Caillerets 2018 scored 93+, Volnay Premier Cru Clos du Verseuil 2019 scored 92-94 by the Wine .

Robert Parker comments on Vougeot Grand Cru Clos de Vougeot 2018: “Unwinding in the glass with rich aromas of cassis, cherries, grilled meats, warm spices and dark chocolate, the 2018 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is full-bodied, powerful and muscular, with a tightly wound and indeed youthfully primary core of fruit that's underpinned by a firm chassis of powdery structuring tannin and lively acids. It's a deep and complete wine, but it will require considerable patience.”

In 2015 after a few years of vineyard and winemaking internships at home and abroad, Thibaud Clerget re-created the winemaking in Domaine Y Clerget. In 2009 his father retired and stopped bottling wines, but was selling grapes in bulk to other domains.

The domaine was founded in 1268, as since that time the family has been vignerons in Volnay and Pommard. Thibaud Clerget is approximately the 28th generation of winemaking in the domaine. He managed to unite his father's holdings with those of his late great-uncle Felix Clerget. Thibaud Clerget has also started a white wine negotiation sideline.

Domaine Y Clerget is farmed without organic certification.

After the harvesting, the grapes are being carefully sorted and destemmed. Before fermentation, cool maceration is conducted, to preserve the delicacy of the grapes. Fermentation continues naturally, before punching down and gentle extraction. Vinification is conducted in a classic manner.
