Domaine Chanson Père & Fils is an old family estate located in Beaune, Burgundy. Jean-Pierre Confuron is the winemaker of the domaine, he farms 45 hectares vineyards according to organic principles since 2009, but still without certification.

Jean-Pierre Confuron wines are characterized to be an excellent, true classic, and fragrant.

The Chanson family holds the Clos des Fèves monopole in Beaune.

In 2006 the domaine holdings were extended to Chablis, Mâconnais, and Beaujolais.

Montrachet Grand Cru 1947 scored 98, Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru 2012 scored 95, and Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru Grands Suchots 1955 scored 95 by the Wine Advocate.

Robert Parker comments on Montrachet Grand Cru 1947: “The 1947 Montrachet Grand Cru is showing brilliantly, blossoming in the glass with complex aromas of dried white flowers, preserved citrus, warm bread and praline, with only subtle hints of walnut oil and sotolon pointing to its age. On the palate, it's full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with immense power and concentration but no sense of excess, its creamy and textural attack segueing into a deep, multidimensional core that's effortlessly balanced, concluding with a long and resonant finish that displays no signs of fraying. Harmonious and lively, even in this warm vintage, this was a magical bottle that testified to the heights of which Montrachet was capable of hitting”.

Today Domaine Chanson Père & Fils is managed by Jean-Pierre Confuron, who succeeded Vincent Arvenel.

The roots of the domaine go back to the 18th century when Simon Verry founded a négociant house. In 1999 the company was bought by Bollinger. In 2002 Gilles de Courcel was appointed to run the domaine. During Gilles de Courcel’s management, the company has kept its old headquarters and maturation cellars in the late-medieval stone tower that was one of Beaune’s principal fortifications. A more modern vinification facility was built in 1974 and in 2008 it was extended.

Domaine Chanson Père & Fils has two labels, Domaine Chanson for their own vineyards and Maison Chanson for wines that are made from bought fruits.

The production of reds is carried out by whole-bunch fermentation.

Almost all the wines are matured in barrels with about 30 percent new oak. Jean-Pierre Confuron prefers François Frères barrels for red wines, whereas Damy barrels are used for the whites.
