About

Château Lestruelle

Château Lestruelle is an estate located in Saint-Yzans-de-Médoc, Bordeaux. Since 1998 the château has been owned by Patrick Bouey, who is known for making sulfite-free and easy-drinking wines.

Château Lestruelle Médoc 2015 scored 91 by the Wine Advocate.

Robert Parker’s tasting notes on the Château Lestruelle Médoc 2015 are: “Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 Lestruelle offers red plum and crushed strawberry on the nose, slightly diffuse at first but gaining harmony with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy ripe red berry fruit, succulent in the mouth with lovely purity on the caressing finish, one that disguises the structure underneath. Don’t overlook this fine Médoc that is both approachable but will age with style. Tasted September 2017.”.

History

Since 1998 Château Lestruelle has been under Patrick Bouey control with Stéphane Derenoncourt as a wine consultant.

Approach
