Robert Parker’s tasting notes on the Riesling Trocken Landgeflecht Unikat 2015: “Aged on the full lees for 20 months, the 2015 Riesling Trocken Landgeflecht Unikat displays a golden-yellow colour and tropical fruit and concentrated lemon aromas that intertwine with very fine yeasty and crystalline notes that indicate a stunning purity. On the palate, this is a lush, generous, vital and even vibrant Landgeflecht with a crystalline structure and tons of salt and tension. This is an exciting wine full of energy and complexity, most probably the greatest Landgeflecht I've had. The 2015 will go a long distance due to its freshness, fruitiness and energetic vibrancy. Tasted in May 2019.”
History
Weingut Peter Jakob Kühn is the property of Peter Bernhard Kühn, who is also in charge of the cellar processes.
The family has been in the winemaking business since the 18th century. The vineyards have passed from generation to generation, constantly increasing in size—the current vineyard size results from the wine interest of over ten generations.
In 2004 the family moved to biodynamic cultivation methods.
